Bolton Advanced Motorists

Course Details

We run four Advanced Driving Courses each year, starting in; February, May, August and November, each course has 25 places available and will last for at least 8 weeks.
Each course consists of:
- Enrolment Evening: we will sort out the paperwork, then we will tell you all about our Advanced Driving Course, what you can expect from the Bolton Group and what we expect from you.
- Classroom Session/Demo Drive: we will check your driving documents (licence/insurance/MoT) and make a presentation about the basics of advanced driving. Following the presentation you will be given a demonstration drive by a qualified advanced driver. You will not drive your own vehicle at this session.
- Practical Driving Sessions: you will drive your own vehicle during these sessions. You will follow a structured course, the principles of which will be explained at the enrolment evening. Your drive each Sunday will be for about 90 minutes with a qualified Observer giving you advice and guidance as you go.
 
NOTE: Whilst our sessions normally take place on Sunday mornings, weekday sessions can be arranged for a small number of trainees, and are available on a 'first come, first served' basis and MUST be booked with Annette Gamble prior to the Enrolment Evening.

November 2008
- Enrolment Evening - Wednesday 5 November 2008, 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start. Great Lever & Farnworth Golf Club, Plodder Lane, Farnworth, Bolton.
- Classroom Session/Demo Drive - Sunday 9 November, 9.45am to noon. The Bolton Arena, Arena Approach, Horwich (alongside the Reebok Stadium), BL6 6LB.
- Practical Driving Sessions - every Sunday starting 16 November, 9.45am. Chorley Street Car Park, Chorley Street, Bolton, BL1 4AL.
